Apparently, Jonathan Hull used to be a security guard at the MET who creates these collages from fine art catalogs. Currently a high school teacher and writer, he continues to post his works of art on his blog, Lowest Bidder.
I love collages. I love the layers, I love the complexity, and I love their depth. It reminds me of when I was really into making collages a few years back and I’d use images from any magazine, no matter how boring I thought the picture it came from was. When thrown together with other “boring” images, they came alive in a whole new way.
I need to start making collages again.
