The Runic Cube

Mad props to Indonesian sister, Muqliza Imroni of the Jakarta-based jewelry line, Sou Brette. I’ve never been so captivated by pale brows, chunky baubles and exaggerated breastplates. Her new collection, Runic, inspires so many DIY projects involving everyday objects like safety pins, rope and tin plates. Seriously, I would love to learn how to smith just enough to drill holes in a tin plate.

Some 2008 photos of folks from Sou Brette and Proud Parents, a clothing line that Muqliza was a part of.

Who needs flashy clothes when your jewelry does all the talking? Let’s hear it for Jakarta!
